Colonial America

A fun practice piece I did over the weekend on my days off. A colonial revolutionary crosses a cold, icy river during a frigid winter as he searches for the New World. As I was painting this, I realized how close it is to July 4th, so I was happy for the coincidence, as this was not meant to be a picture for Independence Day. Either way, happy July 4th! You didn't know our founding fathers were dogs?

For the first time in a long time, I am very happy with out this came out. I really like the new texture I was experimenting with!
